Brushing your teeth is one of those mundane tasks that you complete on auto pilot every day, twice a day (hopefully). Turns out it is pretty common to detox after years (about 20 years for me) of using commercial deodorant full of metals and other toxins. I am a believer in coconut oil and all the health benefits we receive from it. God is so good to have given us all of these wonderful plants. Remove from heat and stir in the baking soda, arrowroot powder, and essential oils. Essential oils are very highly concentrated plant material, therefore it is important not to apply directly to the vaginal area but lightly through a water-based mist spray. Spray the area around the homemade pawing and the branches above, all the way down several trails. Homemade deodorant is a great way to get started with DIY personal care products. I purchased this deodorant a couple months ago, and I am officially converted from the commercial stuff. I just bought myself some tea tree oil a few days ago- so maybe I'll try again with your recipe.

homemade deodorant without baking sodaI really love the idea of this deodorant and don't want to go back to anti-perspirants. If you want a powder deodorant, you can decrease the amount of liquid ingredients and increase the baking soda. The Floral Lime Organic Bar is super effective, and it only contains organic coconut oil, organic beeswax, baking soda, organic corn starch, ylang-ylang (tropical tree) oil and lime oil. I don't have any old deodorant containers, but I'm thinking about mixing it with beeswax to try a bar similar to the Hard Lotion Bar by MadeOn. I buy Young Living from a friend and after feeling sick ever since I used the deodorant she said the oils I used caused me to be thrown into a cleanse. I use coconut oil on my face, for baking muffins, for toothpaste, deep conditioning treatments, and so much more.

I had determined that dissolving the baking soda helped me to avoid the sensitivity issues with baking soda deodorants, but I hated applying a liquid solution of baking soda, so I made a deodorant stick recipe using a combination of making soda and water combined with oils.

I stock an ingredient cupboard with herbal infused oils, and a few staples items for making homemade cleaning products, homemade cosmetics, and homemade personal care products. I've bought from the Primal Pit Paste company and their deodorant reddened my arms but didn't burn. Cancer experts are up in arms over two recent studies linking deodorant use to breast cancer, saying conclusions from the studies are flawed. I pour it into a cleaned-out deo container and stick it in the fridge for an hour or so to firm up. Then it's usually fine sitting out, unless it's warm.

For many years, I was hesitant to stray away from commercial deodorant (think: Dove and Secret). You will find you can even skip a day of using the deodorant stone without ill effects. Warning: When mineral clay comes in contact with metal, it loses its effectiveness, so use only non-metal utensils when working with these clays. Since the homemade lotion bars , sunscreen bars , and deodorant bars all use many of the same ingredients, you can order these in bulk from Mountain Rose Herbs or find them locally and save a lot of money on your family's personal care products. For the powder I combine cornstarch, baking soda (the amount depends on skin sensitivity) and any essential oil.

There are plenty of recipes for home-made deodorant, using simple ingredients like baking powder and coconut oil. If you live in a warm climate, since coconut oil has a melting point of about 75°, you may want to put it in the refrigerator so it doesn't melt. But the Traboulsees decided to take the product online and now are shipping their all-natural, homemade deodorant all over the world.

I've been experimenting for some time with various homemade recipes, deciding that the rut had wound down it was time to give my home made scents a try. The other I made for my husband, using shea butter and cocoa butter (both of which must have a higher melting point, as they remain solid at room temp, even here in the sunshine state). Take an empty deodorant container (that you have previously emptied and washed out- if the stuff that's in there is conventional it is probably hard enough that it will come out by simply twisting it until it falls out), and wash it out well. I've noticed the homemade deodorant I make with Shea butter stains my clothes yellow.

I have noticed that since I replaced the cocoa butter for shea butter my skin doesn't break out in a red rash as much but I still have the blocked sweat glands. I've loved this coconut oil-based deodorant and even this DIY stick deodorant But for reducing sweat and handling odors, this vodka and essential oil-based spray deodorant is my favorite DIY yet. You'll need coconut oil , shea butter , baking soda, arrowroot powder , beeswax , and your favorite essential oil. I have substituted cedar essential oil for the tea tree, and it still works great.
